So, I have this thing for another guy, (shhh…don’t tell the hubs)his name is Pooh. Winnie the Pooh. When I was little, I had a stuffed Pooh bear. I had a Winnie the Pooh record player (guess that shows my age) And a Winnie the Pooh Record Box. And Winnie the Pooh Story Records. And Storybooks. And I totally rocked Winnie the Pooh watch, complete with a Hunny Pot for a second hand. I could go on and on. I know alot of Disney purists go straight for Mickey. Don’t get me wrong, the big cheese is near and dear to my heart. But Pooh, that willy, nilly, silly ‘ol bear, just pulls at my heartstrings. Maybe it’s his kind heart, his soft voice, his friendships. Maybe it’s his love of “hunny” and his round belly, red shirt (sans pants). But maybe it’s more. Maybe it’s the comfort he brings in the message he brings. To be brave, to be kind, to love and to hold your family and friends close to you. Couldn’t we all learn from this cuddly, red-shirted bear? I think the world needs more Pooh wisdom and less hate. And yes, I will be watching the movie, Christopher Robin this weekend and hopefully be transported to a more innocent, happy world that only pooh and the serene Hundred Acre Wood can bring. Is there a Disney character that lives in your heart? Let us know in the comments below!
Have a wonderful day, Dreamers!
